Cicero, the Latin philosopher, narrates that Damocles lived in the court of Dyonisius, harboring jealousy for his life that he thought was happy. To prove otherwise, Dyonisius invited him for lunch and made him sit on his throne. The happiness of that man became suddenly fear when he noticed that, a sword tied to a horse hair was hanging over his head. Dyonisius showed him this way that even a tyrant cannot be free of dangers, and that even him could be slained anytime by a sword.
